Rebecca Rooney

Becca is an ORISE Fellow at the USDA-ARS Midwest Climate Hub. She is working with the Northern Forests Climate Hub and the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science to update vulnerability assessments in the Midwest and Northeastern US.  She received her master’s at the University of Minnesota in Duluth, where she studied plant physiology and senescence, and a bachelor’s at Michigan Technological University in applied ecology and environmental science. Outside of work, she can be found reading, listening to classical and jazz records, or spending time out in nature.
